Carolina West Wireless
As part of Second Story Media, I worked on Carolina West Wireless' Working For You campaign, which highlighted how the company supports and connects with its local community. We visited a regional farmers market, where community members and vendors participated in the shoot while holding iPhones to promote an ongoing device sale. These images resulted in a fun social media refresh for Carolina West!
Bark Mobile
For Bark Mobile, our team at Second Story Media created the "Bark Goes Where You Go" campaign to emphasize the reliability of their service across the mountains and rural areas of Western North Carolina. I captured the campaign photography, while our graphic designer transformed the visuals into billboard and poster design concepts that could be used throughout the region.
ADM Showcase
For App State's annual ADM fashion showcase, I photographed a studio portrait and a boots detail shot to represent the event's theme and style. Our team at Second Story Media then turned the images into graphic posters with bold, cohesive design for use in event promotion.
Turtle Island Nature Preserve
Second Story Media partnered with Turtle Island Preserve to refresh their website and better reflect the spirit of the land and community. I captured new photos and video on-site, highlighting the property's natural beauty, daily life, and hands-on learning environment. The updated visuals support Turtle Island's efforts to promote volunteer opportunities and encourage more visitors to engage with the preserve.
F.A.R.M Cafe
F.A.R.M. Café is a nonprofit restaurant that operates on a pay-what-you-can model and serves meals made from locally sourced ingredients. Through Second Story Media, I photographed a typical day in the café, focusing on the people, food, and community atmosphere. These images were featured in our team's documentary about the café's mission, as well as in promotional materials for the film screening and panel event.
Rockwell Rural Fire Department
For our Advanced Video for Photographers midterm project, our team produced a promotional piece for the Rockwell Rural Fire Department. I was responsible for organizing the footage, managing the workflow, and editing the final video to ensure a cohesive narrative.
Bonsai: The Art of Meditation
Our documentary profile is on Pete Jannotti, a local landscaper and Bonsai artist from the Valle Crucis area in NC. Told in Pete's voice, the film traces his beginnings, the routines that shape his craft, and how tending trees over years becomes a quiet meditation on time and growth.

My name is Olivia Bell
I am a commercial photography and creative advertising double major graduating Fall 2025 at Appalachian State University. Through both majors, I'm learning to craft impactful visuals that build brand identity and deliver strategy-led results. I see myself as a generalist who loves all types and styles of photography, but in my final semester I have primarily decided to focus on cosmetics, apparel, and product photography. My goal is to support founders and brands chasing their dreams.
Photography turns their passion into clear visuals and strategic solutions that connect with audiences. I also love anything that is vibrant, colorful, fun and bright!
